Is the Pope rewriting Holocaust history?

Disgusting. But what do you expect from religion? Continuous coverup of truth by lies.

Have you seen the film Amen by Costa Gavras? I thought it was very good, saw it myself once and then took my (now late) father to the cinema to see it again.

The central character is Kurt Gerstein who witnessed the atrocities and tried to notify the world about them, including the Catholic Church; but he received little if any response. He wrote about this at the Gerstein Report.

Thanks, haven’t heard of Amen before — adding to my unrealistically long to-watch list. The actual article shows the Catholic Church’s positions on WWII are fairly involved and complex, I don’t think it’s correct to call it lying as such and in this case. There are much more clear and blatant cases of lying (eg. the Pope on condoms as a way to prevent HIV transmission)!
