Me
Australian-based, Russian-born, Jewishly-educated, endlessly-curious, Internet-marketingly-employed, artsy-sciency-balanced, comp-sci-linguistically-and-philosophically undergraduant, ungrammatical, philosophy-of-science-thesisly-pursuant, kung-fu-obsessed, guitar-wielding, hopeless eccentric — who spews forth both fiction and nonfiction in a vain attempt to plug the deity-shaped hole in his malevolent baby-eating heart. Also known as Michael Fridman.
The blog
Some blogs have a theme. And maybe it would have been better if I found a niche. But the problem is, I’m just interested in too much! So if there is a theme it’s that being a Rennaissance man/woman is still possible — without giving up your sense of humour or irony and without being a condescending snobbish dick.
Accordingly, I blog about a lot of things, trying to pull together interesting threads from religion (especially the Bible and Judaism), atheism, philosophy (especially phil of mind, science, ethics and religion), interesting things about the world around us, including history, political nuttery, science (especially biology, psychology, maybe a bit of computer science) etc etc. See the top navigation for the main topics.
Of course I profess expertise in nothing so factcheck everything and take it with a salt mine or three.
